HcG Information: 5 HcG Friendly Veggies

HcG is no easy diet to stick to. Trust me, I've fallen off a hand full of times during this process. I love cheese, and well, I gave in this past weekend. The scale showed it too, going up 2 pounds. On this kind of diet, that's not optimal.

Solution? Vegetable heavy meals. I will roast chicken for almost every meal (which isn't suggested, by the way). However, I cannot eat raw asparagus, raw spinach, raw anything too many days in a row! Here is my list of super easy HcG friendly vegetables that won't be too boring!

1. Put asparagus onto a tinfoil lined cookie sheet and put into a 350 degree oven (that has been preheated, of course). Leave it there for about 10 minutes. Afterward, pull it out and drizzle some lemon juice and cayenne pepper. It's a weird but really yummy combination!

2. Vinaigrette dressings are perfectly acceptable as long as they have next to no fat! Make up a nice salad for a change.

3. Chicken soup with vegetables in it is a great option, but the broth does have fat. Go for something light like Progresso's option for Chicken Noodle Soup. Low on calories but lots of flavor! Heck, throw in some extra veggies to make it more filling if you need an extra boost.

4. Fruits! Fruits are definitely allowed as long as they're not high in sugar (none with corn syrup, for sure, and the diet recommends steering clear of dried fruits.) Mix, match, and have fun! There are so many options!

5. Steamed cabbage. I know, that does not sound yummy at all! First off, sweet cabbage is great lightly steamed. Second, I really love mustard with mine! There are many things you can do with this under appreciated vegetable (aside from sauerkraut!)
