Right. I can't believe I have willingly signed up for this. My doctor even approved of me doing this. I usually think these fad things are weird, obsessive, and inevitably ineffective. But, for some reason, I wanted to do this. I want this to work very badly. So! I'm going to document my 30 days on HcG and the new recipes I encounter on the extremely limited diet.
I officially start on Monday, January 11th with the start of classes. On the first two days I am supposed to eat LOTS of fatty foods, which will actually be somewhat difficult to me. I may be a big girl, but I don't eat fatty foods very often. My sweet tooth will be my biggest challenge.
My first impressions of the diet are mixed. First those couple of days, I'm really not sure about. Also, you're only consuming 5-600 calories daily and afterwords you still have a very restrictive maintenance diet for the following 26 days. Healthy habits are great, but you can't stay too low for too long. Another thing, you have to weigh yourself daily. That's a bit obsessive. I know it tracks your loss and makes sure everything's on track, but I don't own a scale for a very good reason. I had already become obsessive looking at it every day, sometimes a couple times a day, and putting myself down for the results.
Ready? I'm not sure I am, but for some reason, I'm going to give it a try.
