I cannot make my mind up if I'm going to wear a veil or not, but if I do, I am very drawn towards the birdcage veil. Now, these, for whatever reason, are very expensive, sometimes more so than regular veils. I figured, I'm crafty enough and I have an insane amount of tulle. Why not try it on my own?
There are a lot of directions out there on the internet, but one of my favorites comes from Hip Hostess, also on blogger. She shows you step by step how to achieve the veil as well as how to add a lovely organza flower. Her blog is also a great read, so I definitely advise roaming around a bit! :D

I made my veil out of black tulle, which won't go with the gold and ivory dress, but was more of a practice run. Now I know how I would want it to lay and how I'd change what I made to fit it. I'm still not set on wearing a veil, though! I'll keep you updated :P
