First, my update: I have hit the infamous plateau and everything has slowed down. I'm very much looking forward to this part being over with so that I can lose weight. I also have a huge temptation tomorrow night. I am going to a conference where we are having (as lame as it sounds) a large etiquette dinner tomorrow night with gorgeous foods. I don't want to slip now, especially on the plateau. I'm doing so well with the daily exercise and eating right.
Now! On to what I really want to discuss. Water gets REALLY boring after a while. It's the same taste and, frankly, it's a bit blah. So, what's a good alternative?
Unfortunately for me, alcohol is not on the menu. I say unfortunately because part of this conference is a cocktail networking hour. I will be the only one without at least a sip of wine, but I really don't drink.
Ok, enough with the No's. This diet is all no's. What can we ACTUALLY drink other than water?
1. Tea. All kinds! Do you realize how limitless this is? I have 6 or 7 in my cupboard. Particularly drink green tea; the antioxidants in it are amazing. However, if you're like me and hate the taste, get a mixed green tea. Pomegranate green tea is fabulous!
2. Coffee. this is also fairly limitless. If you don't drink it black, there are a couple things to keep in mind. First, you only get 1 teaspoon/Tablespoon (I can't remember which, but I will find the reference) of milk with your coffee and, Second, you should substitute refined sugar with Stevia. It's a great new sweetener that's not artificial.
3. Mineral water. I know nothing about this because I really don't care for mineral water. It's all filtered from the tap for me.
You can drink as much of these as you want! Just make sure you are getting at least 2 liters of water in your system.
