Ranch Dressing Recipe

I'm a big lover of Ranch dressing! I think that's either just a Texan thing or just an American thing. Today I decided to heck with store bought brands. I will make my own and it will be amazing.

I did have an oops, though. I didn't have proper garlic, so I used dehydrated flakes. I was upset that the flavor wasn't very garlic to begin with. Turns out that if you let it sit overnight, the garlic flakes rehydrate and the flavor comes bursting out!

Ingredients:
1 cup light mayo
1 cup buttermilk (see below for alternative)
1 tsp. onion powder
1 Tbsp. fresh parsley
1 clove of garlic (or 1/2 tsp of dried garlic or to taste)
2 tsps. lemon juice
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. celery leaves (I prefer fresh, but dried is just fine)

Directions:
1. Mix all the items together. (If you want super uber smooth, blend them, but I just mixed it by hand).
2. Put in the fridge for 24 hours (especially important if you used dried garlic).

NOTE! If the consistency seems too thick, add a little more buttermilk. If too fluid for you, add a little bit more mayo.

Buttermilk Substitute: Add 1 Tbsp. of lemon juice to a cup of milk. Stir well and then let sit for 10 minutes.
